IABC Liaison Role
Primary Responsibilities:
The liaison is a parent volunteer who represents their team/club to IABC and vice versa by:
- Attending monthly IABC Meetings year round
- Fundraising support for their IABC team/club account
- Promoting IABC initiatives such as the Breakfast of Champions
- Recruiting and onboarding their replacement during their last season as a liaison
Optional Responsibilities:
Each team/club has different needs. Liaisons work with the head coach to determine how parents can best support them. Below is a checklist of items to consider.
- DELEGATE and RECRUIT other parents to help with and/or lead
- Carpools
- Fundraising
- Concession Sales
- Merch design and ordering
- Senior Night Planning
- Team dinners
- Webpage maintenance
- Team photos
- Coach Appreciation
- Everything below
- Fundraise by running concessions, hosting an event, and/or leading a direct ask campaign

- Contact IABC treasurer for support: IABCTreasurer@gmail.com
- Monitor team/club IABC account balance and support the coach in budgeting/using the funds
- Attend the Parent/Coach Meeting during your sport’s season. Meetings are held after tryouts
- Fall Sports - September
- Winter Sports - November
- Spring Sports - March
- Plan team events like team dinners, season end awards parties, carpools, Senior Night
- Communicate via email to team families to introduce liaison role and team information as needed
- Maintain team web page on IABC site: https://ingrahamathletics.org/teams-clubs/
- Gather photos for IABC website, Indy Awards, and Yearbook
